Light plays a crucial role in improving both production and welfare of fish in RAS systems. With the right composition of LED diodes, AQUA-SPECTRUM LED lighting ensures potentially lower feed consumption and optimal light distribution, which can also help reduce the risk of parasites such as sea lice.
By implementing a gentle start and low dimming level when the lighting program begins, stress in the fish is minimized, which in turn improves their welfare. The light spectrum is specially developed to work effectively underwater and is adapted to the fish’s eye sensitivity to photoreceptors in the pineal gland. This helps promote growth without accelerating maturation
